Building Our Community Center
In February 2023 our community center suffered extensive fire damage and had to be demolished. We are now on track to build a new community center that will include offices, classroom space, and a certified kitchen. A one acre area is being cleared for the 28'X70' structure.
The new Hawaiian Acres Community Center building and certified kitchen will be located on the 3-acre lot on the corner of Moho Road and Po‘ola Road, locally known as 8 and C respectively.
The proposed ADA-compliant facility will provide certified cooking space, packaging and labeling equipment, and a value-added processing area for activities such as canning, preserving, and preparing grab-n-go meals. See MohoKitchenHI.org for more information.
A 1 acre area has been cleared to make way for the community center, certified kitchen, farmer's market, and parking area.
